Procedures for Conducting a Criminal History Check for Contractor Employees
The Michigan Department of Community Health requires that we ensure that contracted providers perform criminal background checks on their employees.  These criminal background checks are a requirement of provider contracts.  The provider must have, and follow, a policy on hiring of persons with criminal backgrounds that is consistent with applicable licensing and/or certification rules.
